PMC-2: monobloc acid pump for high flow rates
The PMC-2 shares the basic design of the PMC-1: a horizontal centrifugal pump made of polypropylene (PP), PVC or HDPE, single or double flushed mechanical seal, no metal parts in contact with the pumped liquid and very easy maintenance. What sets it apart is its monobloc construction for high flow rates. Among our horizontal pumps for acids, it is the one intended for moving large volumes of acids and aggressive solutions quickly.
Where the required flow is moderate, the PMC-1 remains the simpler option. Where the fluid is hazardous and no seal leakage can be tolerated, look at the HTM magnetic drive pump. For large transfers and low-head recirculation in continuous duty, the range also includes the EVFA-N external flushed vertical pump.

When should I choose the PMC-2 over the PMC-1?
When the required flow rate is high. Both pumps share the same materials and seal options; the PMC-2 is the monobloc version developed for high flow rates. Give us the flow rate and head and we will point you to the right model.
Is the PMC-2 suitable for large-volume acid transfer?
Yes, transferring large quantities between tanks is its typical duty. The material is selected from PP, PVC and HDPE according to the acid being handled.
What does a double flushed seal add?
The flushing liquid between the two seals lubricates and cools the seal faces and forms a barrier between the process fluid and the environment. It is the preferred setup for hazardous fluids or fluids that tend to crystallise.
